16. ‘Rooted’ by Sona Reddy Celebrates Nature Through Contemporary Design
Hyderabad-based architect and designer Sona Reddy presents Rooted, a solo exhibition at 47-A, Mumbai, showcasing a collection of furniture, textiles, and collectible objects inspired by nature, craft, and cultural memory. Running until August 16, the exhibition explores botanical forms, everyday textures, and traditional Indian craftsmanship through sculptural pieces crafted in stone, marble, ceramics, glass, and embroidered textiles. Highlights include the Rosa Collection, Floral Tapestry, and handcrafted Channapatna frames, each reflecting a dialogue between contemporary design and artisanal heritage.
