Luxury watch expert Anita Khatri introduces her first collectible coffee-table book, focused on chronographs and contemporary watch culture.
Luxury watch specialist Anita Khatri formally released her first coffee table book, Anita Khatri – A Sense of Time, at a private event in Mumbai. The launch was officiated by actor and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty, who is also known for her interest in fine timepieces. The event drew participation from senior members of the watch industry, brand representatives, and established collectors.
The publication is limited to 1,000 copies. Edition One inaugurates an annual series that will examine specific segments of watchmaking in each volume. The book is available for purchase exclusively through the official Instagram handle @anitakhatriasenseoftime.
Focus on Chronographs
The first edition centers on chronographs, a key complication within mechanical watchmaking. The content combines photographic documentation, technical explanations, and brand-led narratives. The book outlines the engineering behind chronograph mechanisms and highlights examples from leading international manufacturers. It also documents design evolution and the role of chronographs in sport, aviation, and contemporary collecting culture.
