Last weekend, I went to try a new coffee place in Khan Market- Pour Over Coffee Roasters. At first, I thought it would be just another usual café, but I was wrong.
The ambiance was pleasing, with small paintings and bamboo tiles, along with big windows and a view of the street and trees, where you can sit on their cozy couch and have one of their coffees or grab a cocktail from their bar and sit on the other side of the café.
I went there with my friends and ordered a variety of things to experience every flavour of this cafe. Sitting beside the window, we started with a mango iced matcha which was a refreshing blend of creamy matcha and sweet Alphonso mango with a subtle earthy finish, and an Iced Spanish latte–which not only tasted really good but also came with sparkling water to cleanse the palate. Moving on, we had veg quesadillas, crispy chicken and chips, garlic butter prawns, and mushroom croquettes. Trust me, everything had a very rich flavour that you don't want to miss out on. It came with different sauces and well-crafted plating, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Their food menu is filled with rich salads, sandwiches, sourdough selections, special in-house burgers, and large plates with options like Rosemary Lamb Chops, Red Wine-Braised Chicken, Seared Sole, and Truffle Tofu Steak to choose from.
Now I have talked enough about what I had there, but the interesting part is not this—it's their extensive coffee menu, which sets them apart from other usual cafés. This place focuses on micro-lot roasting, ethical sourcing, and precision brewing while making high-quality coffee accessible. They not only have the typical latte, mocha, matcha, or espresso, but what makes them special are their Pour Over Specials—the lattes with options like Spiced and Spanish, the Australian Mocha, the PO's Bullet, and Tonic. And it does not stop there. Then they have the PO Flip—the kind of cold coffee you would need while hanging out with friends—or the Red Eye Salsa for your parents. And if you're bored with these too, then they've got the Dirty Coffee, Protein Coffee, and the Aerocano.
The evenings turn into an AM-PM bar. The bar menu’s signature cocktails include Sprig & Giggle, a white wine spritz brightened with orange peel and rosemary; Moo & Brew, a blend of house coffee liqueur, soda, and oat milk foam; and Stem & Stone, a crisp gin-based cocktail with green apple and celery juice.
Not only were their food and ambiance exceptional, but their staff was also very attentive and warm towards our needs. They also suggested various options according to our tastes, which clearly shows the amount of attention to detail they pay to their customers' expectations.
Then, after spending a good three hours in that cozy environment chatting, working, and eating, of course, we thought of wrapping it up with their desserts. We went for their baked cheesecake with in-house berries and their coffee-soaked tiramisu. Both made for a satisfying end to the experience.
