Hublot Times Aston Villa's Historic European Triumph in Istanbul.
On a night charged with emotion, drama and footballing history, Aston Villa lifted the UEFA Europa League trophy in Istanbul, defeating Germany's SC Freiburg to secure the club's first major European title since 1982. As the action unfolded under the lights of one of football's most iconic stages, every second was measured by Hublot, the Official Watch and Official Timekeeper of the UEFA Europa League.
The 2026 final also marked a significant milestone for the Swiss luxury watchmaker: twenty years since Hublot first entered the world of football. Throughout the tournament and during the final itself, substitutions and added time were displayed on the instantly recognisable Hublot Fourth Official's Board, a symbol that has become inseparable from elite international football.
Two Decades of Sporting History
Hublot made the disruptive move to enter football in 2006 when it partnered with the Swiss national team, becoming the first fine watchmaking company in the sport. It would go on to sponsor four FIFA World Cups and five UEFA EUROs and today continues to sponsor UEFA’s flagship club competitions and international tournaments across the men’s and women’s games. The luxury watchmaking brand has also established significant partnerships with Kylian Mbappé, Alex Morgan and Ada Hegerberg and has created a series of sporty, innovative, technical watches.

A Watch Created for European Football's Biggest Nights
To celebrate the UEFA Europa League, Hublot unveiled the Classic Fusion Chronograph UEFA Europa League Titanium Carbon, a highly exclusive limited edition of just 50 pieces worldwide.
The 42mm timepiece combines lightweight performance with contemporary design, embodying Hublot's philosophy of "The Art of Fusion". Its satin-finished and polished titanium case delivers exceptional comfort on the wrist while maintaining the robustness expected of a modern sports chronograph. The standout feature is undoubtedly the bezel, crafted from a striking fusion of carbon fibre and vivid orange micro-glass fibres inspired by the Europa League's fiery visual identity. The dial features a sophisticated satin-finished black sunray finish, offering excellent legibility while highlighting subtle tournament-specific details. At 3 o'clock, the UEFA Europa League logo is integrated into the small seconds counter, creating a discreet yet distinctive tribute to Europe's premier secondary club competition.

Technical Excellence Beneath the Surface
Powering the watch is Hublot's self-winding HUB1153 chronograph movement, composed of 269 components and 39 jewels. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), the movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.
Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement features a black-lacquered oscillating weight bearing Hublot's signature design language. The transparent caseback is further decorated with the UEFA Europa League logo, reinforcing the connection. A black-lined rubber strap enhances the watch's sporty character while ensuring all-day comfort. The strap is secured by a stainless-steel deployant buckle clasp, providing both security and ease of wear.
As Aston Villa celebrated a memorable European triumph, Hublot once again demonstrated why it remains one of football's most visible and enduring partners!
