Luxury watches have long been part of Formula 1’s culture, reflecting both the precision of the sport and the close ties between teams, drivers, and watchmakers. For many drivers, their choice of watch goes beyond personal taste, often shaped by commercial partnerships that align with their professional image. From established champions to emerging talents, the watches they wear offer insight into their brand affiliations, personal style, and the broader relationship between horology and motorsport.

1. Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton, following his move to Ferrari, has been spotted with various limited-edition Richard Mille timepieces, such as the RM 67-02 Italy, a lightweight piece in Carbon TPT in the colours of the Italian flag.  He was also spotted wearing the RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon, with a stunning Gold Carbon TPT case combining 30 microns-thin ply carbon fibre with gold leaf and the RM 43-01 Ferrari Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph, one of the most complex chronographs designed by Richard Mille.

2. Charles Leclerc

Charles Leclerc is closely associated with Richard Mille due to the latter’s relationship with Ferrari as well as him being their brand ambassador. He has been seen sporting various models from the red and white ultra-lightweight RM 67-02 to the RM 72-01 Leclerc edition created in his honour to the RM UP-01 Ferrari, co-developed with the racing outfit and some models from the Richard Mille Rafael Nadal line. His varied preference extends beyond Richard Mille, with the Nautilus Travel Time and the Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Black Magic also finding their way into his collection.

3. Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen has a well-known, long-standing partnership with TAG Heuer, and he frequently sports the TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph and the Carrera 1158 CHN “Glassbox” on various occasions, from casual outings to professional appearances. Both timepieces are particularly notable for their intricate designs and visible movement mechanisms, emphasising both technical mastery and luxury. He has recently featured a Formula 1 Calibre 16 “Max Verstappen” Special Edition, the first mechanical watch bearing his name, with a tribute to his four World Championships, and the robust Formula 1 Chronograph.

4. George Russell

George Russell has strong commercial ties with IWC Schaffhausen. In 2025, he is often seen wearing the Ingenieur Automatic 42, a model which marks the first time the Genta-derived Ingenieur design has been rendered entirely in black ceramic. Other IWC watches showcased by him include a Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG, a steel Pilot’s Watch Chronograph, a Pilot’s Watch Double Chronograph “Top Gun”, a gold Portugieser Chronograph, and the “Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team” Pilot’s Watch Chronograph.

Lando Norris has been seen sporting Richard Mille watches, owing to their partnership with McLaren. He has been seen with customised limited editions, often featuring bright colours and unconventional designs, such as the exceedingly light RM?67-02, including the McLaren edition made with orange accents and Carbon TPT; the Richard Mille RM 011 Felipe Massa “White Demon” Limited Edition; the Royal Oak Offshore Music Edition, with an orange rubber strap; and the RM 11-03 Automatic Flyback Chronograph, which was co-developed with McLaren. Most recently, he’s been spotted with the RM 72-01 Lifestyle Chronograph in white ceramic and rose gold.

6. Yuki Tsunoda

Yuki Tsunoda’s watch preferences have evolved with his career in Formula 1. A brand Ambassador for TAG Heuer, he has been sporting the new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph Miami Limited Edition. Earlier he was seen with the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic ‘Blue’ in relation to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls. Apart from that, he had also sported the Casio Edifice EQB-1000AT during Casio’s partnership with Alphatauri F1 (now called Visa Cash App Racing Bulls) and the Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch ‘Mission to Pluto’ in his early days in F1.

7. Pierre Gasly

When Alpine Motorsports partnered with H. Moser & Cie in 2024, Pierre Gasly became the first individual athlete to be sponsored by them. He generally wears the 2025 Moser Streamliner Alpine Drivers Edition, a 42.3mm steel chronograph with a blue PVD case and skeletonised dial; the Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine, both blue and pink editions; and the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Boutique Edition. Beyond the team partnership, he has also been spotted with the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon and the Carrera Senna Special Edition.

8. Isack Hadjar

In line with Tudor’s partnership with the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Team, Isack Hadjar is generally seen sporting Tudor timepieces, notably the Black Bay Chrono ‘Carbon 25’, a limited-edition racing chronograph designed in the team’s 2025 livery, and the Black Bay Ceramic 58 ‘Blue’, which pairs a matte ceramic case with clean racing-inspired lines. Beyond Tudor, he is sometimes spotted with the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph.
