Jaipur Watch Company is a horology brand rooted in the rich artistic and architectural heritage of India. The brand combines traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern watchmaking, designing timepieces that honor India's monuments, culture, and narratives with detailed artistry and advanced mechanisms. While the brand conceives each of their collections as a tribute to India's legacy and reinterprets its landmarks, motifs, and heritage for a new generation of collectors and enthusiasts, the new collection takes it a step further.
The new collection called ‘Gaurav Mehta Jaipur’ is a new chapter in watchmaking. Every timepiece in this collection is conceived as a work of art, finished by hand, and designed for discerning collectors who value heritage as much as innovation. The inaugural launch introduces two extraordinary creations:
Premium Baagh
The Premium Baagh Collection reimagines the artistic heritage of Rajasthan through the lens of contemporary mechanical watchmaking. At its heart, a sculpted golden Baagh (tiger), stands as a symbol of strength, sovereignty, and resilience. It moves across a desert landscape, creating a dynamic narrative inspired by India's royal past.
The dial brings together an exceptional palette of traditional materials and time-honored craftsmanship. Turquoise stone forms a brickwork mosaic backdrop, set in contrast against an off-center time display wrapped in authentic pink Muslin Khadi fabric. A miniature Chhatri inspired by the domed pavilions of Rajput architecture is set with a ruby jewel, while a courtly filigree element frames the composition, lending depth, texture, and harmony to every detail. Each case is individually CNC-milled from 316L stainless steel and finished with engraved flanks and custom turquoise stone inlays integrated into the lugs. Powering the timepiece is the Swiss-made Sellita SW200 automatic movement, visible through an exhibition caseback that reveals its mechanical heart. Completing the narrative, a tiger adorns the caseback, echoing the dial's central motif and reinforcing the spirit of the Baagh. Designed and crafted in Jaipur, India, the Premium Baagh Collection unites iconic elements, and Swiss mechanical engineering into a wearable piece of horological storytelling.
Gate Of India Collection
At the heart of Jaipur's City Palace stand two of its most celebrated entrances, the Lotus Gate and the Leheriya Gate at Pritam Niwas Chowk. Far more than architectural masterpieces, these gateways have long symbolized prosperity, renewal, and the turning of the seasons, welcoming generations into a royal world of art, culture, and tradition.
Drawing inspiration from these iconic palace gates, Jaipur Watch Company reimagines the very idea of a gateway as a passage through India's remarkable heritage. The timepiece has a unique flip mechanism that reveals some of the nation's most celebrated monuments i.e. the Gateway of India, India Gate, Red Fort, and Charminar, each one has a chapter in India's architectural and cultural legacy. Uniting royal symbolism with national heritage, this timepiece stands as a tribute to the gateways that have witnessed history, welcomed generations, and continue to tell India's story.
