The Vietjet’s Startup Flight aims to empower startups in AI, EdTech, e-commerce, and logistics with mentorship, funding, and cross-border collaboration.
India and Vietnam have come together to champion the next generation of entrepreneurs through Startup Flight—a dynamic cross-border initiative that is fast becoming a blueprint for global collaboration. More than 600 ambitious startup ideas from both countries have converged under this programme, reflecting a shared appetite for rapid innovation and a bold, future-ready entrepreneurial spirit.
Launched in Ho Chi Minh City, the initiative is co-organised by India’s Amity Innovation Incubator, Vietnam’s National Startup Support Center (NSSC), and Vietjet, the country’s largest private airline. Beyond simply spotlighting promising young ventures, Startup Flight aims to build a long-term innovation corridor linking two of Asia’s fastest-growing economies—an alliance grounded in creativity, opportunity, and a shared vision for sustainable growth.
A New Generation of Talent Takes the Spotlight
From an overwhelming 600+ applications, 14 standout projects have earned coveted “golden tickets” to participate in an intensive Bootcamp in India from November 10 to 13, 2025. Designed as a real-world laboratory, the Bootcamp offers founders a chance to pressure-test their ideas under the mentorship of international experts, sharpen their market strategies, and cultivate connections that may eventually lead to funding, scale, and cross-border partnerships.
The selected projects span four high-growth sectors—Software & Data/AI, E-commerce & Retail, EdTech, and Transportation & Logistics—illustrating the diversity of the combined startup ecosystem. For both nations, the initiative represents more than just a competition; it is an investment in a future defined by shared knowledge, cultural synergy, and entrepreneurial ambition.
A Practical, High-Impact Collaboration
Vietnam’s Trade Counsellor, Bui Trung Thuong, highlights the significance of the initiative as “a practical bridge” between two expanding innovation landscapes. By opening pathways for market exploration, tech collaboration, and investment mobility, the programme strengthens economic ties and propels the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Vietnam into new territory.
The Startup Flight programme also serves as a powerful example of public–private partnership (PPP) in action. By aligning governmental support with private-sector efficiency and innovation, the initiative fuels sustainable growth, knowledge exchange, and ecosystem-level empowerment.

Vietjet: The Airline Powering Innovation
A key force behind the initiative, Vietjet continues to expand its role as a connector of people, ideas, and economies. The airline has strengthened India–Vietnam accessibility through a dense network of direct routes linking New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad with major Vietnamese hubs. These connections have unlocked unprecedented mobility for business, tourism, investment, and now, innovation.
By supporting Startup Flight, Vietjet reinforces its vision of fostering sustainable economic value, bridging innovation hubs, and enabling cross-border partnerships. The airline’s commitment is deeply aligned with its global reputation for efficiency, cost innovation, and high safety standards.
