SAAR, a new Indian lifestyle house creating design-led, handmade objects for hosting, gifting, and everyday living, hosted its inaugural gathering, offering the first glimpse into the brand’s introductory collection, Drop 01: Bed & Breakfast, Ca. 1997. Set inside an art gallery presenting the work of South Asian women artists, the collection included striped robes, mulberry silk pillowcases, embroidered linens, playful tableware, handcrafted games and beaded curios. The highlight of the event was the saar. Corner Shop, an interpretation of the neighbourhood corner store, lined with handcrafted discoveries and thoughtfully sourced additions from around the world, including olive oil from Mykonos and handmade soaps from Barcelona. Alongside it, live hand embroidery offered guests the opportunity to personalise select keepsakes.

18. A Slow Sip of Solitude Arrives in Delhi

Slow down and step into A Slow Sip of Solitude, opening at Gallery Pristine Contemporary in New Delhi from 25 July to 5 September 2026. Featuring evocative works by Varad Bang, Ayuesh Agarwal, and Salony Garg, the exhibition explores introspection, stillness, and mindful presence through painting and immersive design. Curated by Arjun Butani and Arjun Sawhney, with a spatial intervention by AD100 designer Iram Sultan, it transforms the gallery into a contemplative escape from the pace of everyday life.

Discover 6 ROOMS. 1 HOUSE. at 47 A, Mumbai, an immersive exhibition curated by Srila Chatterjee that transforms a heritage home into six distinct artistic worlds. Running until 19 July, the free exhibition celebrates the diversity of Indian art through themes ranging from motherhood and Mumbai's evolving landscape to textiles, wildlife, portraiture, and experimental craft. The thoughtfully curated experience invites visitors to explore Indian art in an intimate, engaging, and deeply accessible setting.
