This September, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts are welcoming top mixologists from Italy’s ‘Locale Firenze,’ ranked 36 on the World’s 50 Best Bars, for exclusive bar takeovers!
Florence is a city where art, architecture, and cuisine come together in layers of history and innovation. It’s also home to one of the world’s most celebrated cocktail destinations—Locale Firenze, ranked #36 on The World’s 50 Best Bars. And this September, a slice of that Florentine magic is arriving in India.
Oberoi Hotels & Resorts is bringing Dario Banchellini, the head bartender of Locale Firenze, to Mumbai and New Delhi for an exclusive series of bar takeovers. Known for his inventive flair, Dario will be shaking up signature cocktails at The Eau Bar in Mumbai on the 11th of September and Cirrus 9 in New Delhi on the 13th of September in collaboration with The Soul Company, a creative F&B consultancy dedicated to curating global food and drink experiences in India.
What makes Dario’s work stand out is his philosophy: cocktails that respect seasonality, embrace sustainability, and tell a story. His drinks are immersive, designed to transport guests into the cultural tapestry of Florence. For this India showcase, he has curated a menu of four cocktails that reflect his signature style that includes drinks like Foglia, a refreshing gin-based creation layered with mint and basil; No Clouds in Mexico, a smoky, peppery blend of tequila, mezcal, citrus leaf and Timut pepper; the intriguing Coffee Manhattan, spiked with coffee bourbon and kombucha; and a Seasonal Margarita that highlights tropical mango with tequila and bitters.
Speaking about his first showcase in India, Dario says, “I have a deep passion for exploring innovative flavour combinations through the art of mixology. Having worked in some of Italy’s most fashionable bars, I am excited to bring a unique taste of the Mediterranean and the city of Florence to Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in Mumbai and New Delhi.”
