Dinner and Drama is Served at this Restaurant – Quite Literally!

Dramique, India’s first theatrical culinary destination, is the only place where you’ll applaud between courses!

It hasn’t been long since Taylor Swift released her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, and while fans in India may not be seeing her live anytime soon, Delhi’s newest addition to the luxe nightlife circuit — Dramique — might just be the closest you’ll get to experiencing that show-stopping allure. Inspired by world-famous nightclubs such as Spain’s Cabaret-club Lío Ibiza and The Theatre Dubai, Dramique at Delhi’s The Grand hotel brings together fine dining, live cabaret-style performances, and high-energy acro acts — delivering an immersive experience that’s as bold and captivating as its inspiration.

Dining here is a night of revelation. The evening begins with an overture of sequins, spotlight, and sinuous movement as cabaret dancers dressed in Burlesque claim a circular stage at the restaurant’s center. Draped in ruffled gowns, thigh-slit silhouettes, bejewelled masks, and peacock-feathered finery, they put up performances pulsating with energy and zest.  And if you manage to tear your gaze away from the stage, you’ll find Creative Director Samir Sehgal’s vision shimmering across the space — a velvet dreamscape of jewel tones, mirrored panels, and sculptural lighting that blurs the line between a fine diner and a modern cabaret club.

As India’s first theatrical dining experience, Dramique seats about 100 guests indoors and another 50-60 on its patio — but every table, quite literally, comes with a view. The menu, much like the performances, plays to the senses. Rooted in contemporary European cuisine with delicate Asian nuances, it’s a symphony of flavours designed to dazzle. You can choose from the chef’s tasting menu or an à la carte selection, with highlights such as truffle ponzu carpaccio, tuna tartare with nori, and artisanal dumplings. And if you plan to stay for the Encore (or not!), the innovative cocktails will give you company.  At the bar, the mixologist curates cocktails inspired by emotion and the wine list, created by award-winning sommeliers, features rare and soulful selections from around the globe.

By the end of the night, as the lights dim and the performances reach a crescendo, you’re not just a diner — you’re part of the life of a showgirl!
